CAHFT Thirteenth Annual Back-To-School Drive

The Caribbean American Heritage Foundation of Texas (CAHFT) will celebrate its Thirtheen (13th) Annual Back-To-School Drive, benefiting underserved, economically disadvantaged students in the Caribbean and in particular, the island-nation of Saint Lucia. Our partner in the first years of the School Drive in Saint Lucia was the then Soufriere Public Library Librarian Ms. Catherine Prospere (retired, 2018); she and her staff have held annual hand-over ceremonies at the Library, ensuring that the students received our donation of school supplies.

Over the past twelve (12) years, CAHFT typically send 3-5 55-gallon barrels contained over 2,300 items including over 400 notebooks and more than 560 No. 2 pencils the Saint Lucia and other Caribbean islands during our Annual School Drive. Other items in the barrels included pens, pencils, crayons and pencil sharpeners. CAHFT continue to do our part to assist the future leaders of Saint Lucia and the Caribbean achieve their educational goals and objectives by donating these much needed school supplies to these underserved communities.
